Mercer Island’s roots date back to the Duwamish Indians. In early days settlers were hesitant to inhabit the area, as it was believed the island was ridden with an evil spirit.
Today the vibrant area is known to be one of the best places to live in the Pacific Northwest. Four mild seasons are seen throughout the year, and the beauty of the region is effervescent.

The Roanoke Inn
Meet Mercer Island’s oldest business. Constructed in 1914, the Inn is a classic location to meet friends and celebrate any occasion. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, appetizers, and an exhaustive list of beer, wine, and cocktails.
